As a new convert from DisplayWrite 4 to WordPerfect 5.1, I
missed DisplayWrite's Paper Clip feature, which allows you
to return to the place where you left off when you last
saved the document. This feature is important for anyone who
has to do a lot of proofreading, especially if it's often
interrupted. Consequently, I wrote macros for marking your
place with a "paper clip" and then finding it again.
The first macro, Alt-Z, inserts a character string into the
text at the place to which you wish to return. The second
macro, Alt-X, finds and deletes the marker created by Alt-Z,
taking you to the exact place you left before. I always
execute Alt-X upon entering any existing document. This
avoids the possibility of leaving an unwanted mark in a
document.

Editor's Note: Since you have the PowerBase *.* Volume 5
diskette, you don't need to enter these macros by hand to
use them; they're included on the disk as the WordPerfect
macro files P5WPR\ALTX.WPM and P5WPR\ALTZ.WPM. The texts of
the macros are included below for reference.
